About PADI Open Water Dive Course

Getting your PADI scuba diving certificate only requires the completion of five knowledge development sessions (eLearning is an option), five shallow water confined training sessions, and four open water ocean training dives.

After Completing this PADI Dive Course you are qualified to dive to 18m deep and can progress onto Advanced Open Water Diver

What's Involved

Dive Theory Knowledge Development:

You will learn to dive by completing scuba diving knowledge development, dive skills in shallow water as well as four dives in the ocean. Concerning the knowledge development sessions, you have the flexibility to choose from 2 options:

Classroom Dive Theory Option A – Completing all the theory, videos & quizzes in our classroom. Or

E-Learning Dive Theory Option B – Completing the classroom portion with e-learning at your own pace – anytime, anywhere!

What are the advantages of choosing Option B?

When you complete PADI eLearning before leaving for your holidays, the duration of the PADI Open Water Course will be 3 days instead of 4 days!

You’ll Complete:
5 Confined Water Training Dives
4 Open Water Training Dives

Upon successful completion of these dives, PADI Open Water Diver students receive a certification card that allows you dive independently to a maximum depth of 18 metres with a dive buddy. OW Divers can also participate in PADI adventure dives.

What shall I do if I am already qualified as a PADI Scuba Diver?

If you are already a PADI Scuba Diver, and you would like to upgrade to full Open Water Diver then enroll on this course, you only need to complete the remaining two knowledge development sessions, two confined water sessions, and two open water training dives.

What to Know Before Your Dive Training

Check The Dive Medical Questionnaire

Scuba diving is an exciting and safe activity, but being in good health is important to fully enjoy it.

To make your experience as smooth as possible, we recommend reviewing the medical questionnaire before you arrive—this helps avoid any last-minute delays, extra costs, or hassles.

All students must complete this medical questionnaire before starting any PADI diving course. If you can answer ‘No’ to all the questions, you’re set to go and don’t need a doctor’s approval.

However, if you answer ‘Yes’ to any question, you’ll need a doctor to review, complete, and sign the form to confirm you’re fit to dive.
