Become PADI Tec Diver
Are you ready to become a PADI Tec Deep Diver? Fantastic! The PADI Technical Diving program is structured into three progressive courses: PADI Tec 40, Tec 45, and Tec 50.
This step-by-step approach makes technical decompression diving accessible and allows you to build your skills and confidence gradually. With each certification level, you’ll gain valuable experience while enjoying the unique benefits and challenges of decompression diving.
PADI TEC 40 COURSE
You will learn to:
Use decompression software and dive computers to plan and make decompression dives with no more than 10 minutes of total decompression and not deeper than 40 metres/130 feet. Use a single cylinder of decompression gas with up to 50 percent oxygen (EANx50) to add conservatism to the required decompression.
Course Requirements
PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or hold a qualifying certification from another organization)
PADI Enriched Air Diver (or hold a qualifying certification from another organization)
PADI Deep Diver (or hold a qualifying certification from another organization) or 10 dives deeper than 30 meters
Minimum of 30 logged dives, at least 10 dives with EANx, 12 dives deeper than 18 metres. 6 logged dives deeper 30 meters.
At least 18 years old
Signed medical form from a physician stating that you are fit to dive
PADI TEC 45 COURSE
You will learn to:
Develop the skills, knowledge, and planning techniques required for diving to depths of 45 meters/145 feet using 100% oxygen as a decompression gas. Learn to plan and execute single and repetitive decompression dives, utilizing a single stage cylinder with EANx or 100% oxygen for added safety and conservatism. Gain expertise in preparing for and managing potential technical diving emergencies. Master the fundamental skills and procedures essential for advancing further into the world of technical diving.
Course Requirements
Be a DSAT Tec 40 Diver (or hold a qualifying certification from another organization)
Be a PADI Rescue Diver (or hold a qualifying certification from another organization)
Have a minimum of 50 logged dives, of which at least 12 dives made with enriched air nitrox deeper than 18 metres/60 feet – 6 dives (with or without EANx) were deeper than 30 metres/100 feet
At least 18 years old
Signed medical form from a physician stating that you are fit to dive
PADI TEC 50 COURSE
As a Tec 50 diver, you’ll be qualified to use air, EANx, and oxygen to conduct extended-range accelerated decompression dives. Additionally, Tec 50 serves as the gateway to the DSAT PADI Tec Trimix Diver courses, opening up access to a broader range of dive sites and deep wrecks around the globe—ready for you to explore.
You will learn to:
Make actual decompression dives as deep as 50 meters/165 feet. Use enriched air nitrox and/or oxygen for decompression. Learn to use desktop decompression software to create custom dive tables and plan your dives. Qualify to plan/execute technical decompression dives as a team – extending your limits once again.
Course Requirements
Be a PADI Rescue Diver (or hold a qualifying certification from another organization)
Be a DSAT Tec 45 (or hold a qualifying certification from another organization)
Have a minimum of 100 logged dives,of which at least 20 dives were made with enriched air nitrox deeper than 18 metres/60 feet, and at least 15 (with or without EANx) dives were deeper than 30 metres/100 feet.
At least 18 years old
Signed medical form from a physician stating that you are fit to dive
PADI TEC TRIMIX 65 COURSE
As a certified Tec Trimix 65 diver, you’ll be qualified to perform multistop decompression dives using trimix with 18% or more oxygen as bottom gas, along with EANx and oxygen for accelerated decompression.
You will learn to:
Analyse Trimix gas and mark cylinders. How to plan Trimix decompression diving using desktop deco software Execute trimix dives to 65 metres with a maximum 18% oxygen in backgas and using a maximum of 2 decompression gasses to accelerate your decompression learn motor skills required for Trimix diving Learn how to plan for and react to underwater emergencies.
