UNDERWATER CLEAN-UP ON GOZO

This morning we have had a great clean-up of Reqqa Point, Billingshurst Cave and by Ghar il-Qamh outside of Ghasri Valley. Loads of old ladders and pieces of broken steel were brought up by numerous instructors and the participation of most dive centres on the island. We thank everyone who helped and should make it a point to organise a similar event at the end of the summer.

This clean-up was part of the campaign ‘A Cleaner and Greener Gozo’ organised by the Ministry for Gozo.

The Minister for Gozo, the Hon. Dr Anton Refalo, visited Reqqa Point to personally thank all the participants. The Gozo diving community really appreciated this gesture.
