Atlantis Diving Centre offers various BSAC Technical Diving Courses in Gozo and BSAC Technical Diving qualifications.

BSAC Accelerated Decompression Procedures

The BSAC Accelerated Decompression Procedures (ADP) course is an excellent opportunity to enhance your nitrox diving abilities. This involves using oxygen-rich mixes to make decompression more efficient. The course encourages you to make thoughtful decisions about your diving.

What You Will Learn

You will learn to plan and conduct dives using nitrox mixes with up to 80 per cent oxygen as a deco gas, using a stage cylinder, and you will practise the skills needed to become a more self-reliant diver.

This course requires the completion of classroom theory sessions,
1 shallow water session and 2 open water training dives.

Upon successful completion of this course,
BSAC Accelerated Decompression Procedures Divers are qualified to dive to the maximum depths as defined by their current diver certification.

  • Duration: 2 days
  • Prerequisite
  • Minimum age 18 years
  • Minimum certification BSAC Sports Diver or equivalent
  • BSAC membership
  • Proof of 50 logged open water dives

Explorer Mixed Gas Diver (60m)

BSAC’s Explorer Mixed Gas Diver (60m) course is an effective means of expanding your current open-circuit mixed gas diving proficiency to a depth of 60 meters. During the course, you will acquire the knowledge of utilizing a travel gas to enhance your breathing mixture at every phase of the dive.

What You Will Learn

You’ll broaden the types of breathing gases you can use, discovering how to use normoxic gas mixes with at least 18% oxygen and a maximum of 35% helium. This helps reduce the effects of narcosis at greater depths. The course teaches you to plan and carry out dives to 60m. You’ll also enhance your diving skills by handling two-stage cylinders—one with a travel gas and the other with a deco gas.

This course requires the completion of classroom theory sessions,
1 shallow water session and 3 open water training dives.

Upon successful completion of this course,
BSAC Explorer Mixed Gas Divers are qualified to dive to a maximum depth of 60m

Advanced Mixed Gas Diver (80m)

The Advanced Mixed Gas Diver course is an excellent opportunity to further develop your existing open-circuit mixed gas diving expertise. This course delves into the comprehensive theory and practical aspects of decompression strategies essential for safely diving to depths of 80 meters.

What You Will Learn

You’ll expand the range of breathing gas mixes you can use, mastering the use of hyperoxic, normoxic, and hypoxic trimix in sequence to reduce the narcosis that would occur at greater depths.

The course will teach you how to plan and execute dives to 80m. Additionally, you’ll enhance your practical diving skills to handle longer run times, including ascent times of up to 60 minutes.

This course requires the completion of classroom theory sessions,
1 shallow water session and 3 open water training dives.

Upon successful completion of this course,
